Barbara was a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew her, remembered with gratitude for a kind-hearted spirit that showed itself in quiet, steady ways.
She worked as a delivery driver for Lutheran Hospital and Pony Express delivery service, serving others with reliability and care. In her personal life, Barbara found joy in tending to her many flowers, and, when she was younger, she devoted time to studying literature and writing—interests that reflected a thoughtful and gentle appreciation for beauty and meaning.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Carol (Brian) Kline of Fort Wayne, Indiana; son Richard (Teresa Laffler) Bellis, of Hamilton, Indiana; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Decker Jr. and Thomas Decker.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Indiana, with visitation two hours prior.
