Barbara Greven Turner left to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. She was born April 28, 1946 to Martin and Mary Elizabeth Greven. Barbara earned her Bachelor's Degree from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan. She worked for Catholic Charities for a few years, then Fort Wayne Newspapers eventually becoming an editor. After this, Barbara worked for Superior Essex as a Customer Service Representative, retiring after 35 years. She belonged to Brookside Church, where she volunteered in the Children's Program as well as homebound and hospitalized people. Before this, she belonged to First Assembly where she was a member of their International Ministry and volunteered teaching new citizens the English language. Years before, she belonged to the Cathedral where she was in the choir; Barbara loved music and had a beautiful voice. She loved 50's Doo-Wop, Motown and Jazz. Barbara loved her family and friends dearly. She was a very spiritual person who believed in God, the Bible, and prayed for all of us. God was not only her guide through life, He was also her strength. Barbara was skilled in needlepoint and made many beautiful things; she was also a terrific cook! She was a most generous person, always giving to anyone in need and helping in any way possible; comforting everyone and praying for many. Her former husband, Dick Turner, preceded her in death. Barbara is survived by her loving sister, Angela; treasured friends, Peggy and Karla; many relatives and good friends. Memorial Contributions may be directed to TCT Ministries, P.O.
