Barbara E. Vaughn

BARBARA E. VAUGHN, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at Kingston Care Center. Born in Battle Creek, Mich., Barbara worked at Magnavox for several years before becoming the head of housekeeping at Sheridan Hotels. She then worked at National Plastics where she worked until retirement. She was a member of the American Legion, and UAW Local 2357. Barbara enjoyed playing board games, jigsaw puzzles, and going to church. Surviving are her husband, Carl "Richard" Vaughn of Fort Wayne; children, Gerald (Marsha) Bryan, Sandra Ramos, Deborah (Terry) Vance, all of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Harriet Lord; brother, Roy Lord Jr.; sisters, Joyce Trittipo and Dorothy Garrison; son-in-law, David Ramos; and granddaughter, Valerie Ramos. Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor James Archambeault officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association .
