On February 2, 1958, she married Aurelio Santiago Sr. in Chicago, Illinois; he preceded her in death in 2013.
During her 92 years she lived in various states.
She was loved and will be deeply missed by many family members and friends.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity remember Benita. It was her passion to plant and watch a flower, vegetable or herb grow.
You never wanted to invite her to go shopping unless you meant it, she may have beat you to the car.
Some of Benita’s quirks were over the top. This made you laugh. Sometimes even making you wonder, with her comment, where she was coming from or going during these times.
Funeral Service is 11:00 am, Friday, January 3, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery & Mausoleum, Fort Wayne.
During this trying time, keep in mind she has moved on and now in God’s hands, BUT for those who truly loved her, forever she will be in their hearts.
