Berenice Eloise Brown, 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Cedarhurst of Fort Wayne. She was born on March 26, 1932, to Benjamin Harrison and Nellie Burdette (Shockley) Hickman. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roger Brown, on February 13, 2017. John and Bernie were great parents and avid snowbirds. Bernie enjoyed making the best zucchini relish and chicken salad most ever tasted, Florida living, clipping coupons, reading books by David Jeremiah, writing poetry about her sons and going to Dairy Queen. Berenice is survived by her children, Bryan (Anne) Brown, Brett (Kathleen) Brown, Kevin (Tracy) Brown, and Keith (Jamie) Brown; by thirteen grandchildren; and by thirteen great-grandchildren. She was much loved and looked after by Karen Girardot-Pennington. Memorial services are Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 1:30pm at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 722 Moeller Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46806, with visitation beginning at 12:30pm.
