

Betty C. Kochert, age 100 of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday March 31, 2023, at The Cedars in Leo, Indiana. She was born October 8, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio to Gale and Francis (Bond) Foulk. She was a 1940 graduate of Pontiac High School in Pontiac, Michigan. Betty worked at Paul Pumps, Sheller-Globe Corp, and 10 years at Magnavox Corp in Ft Wayne. She was a member of the Spencerville (Indiana) Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 356. On July 3, 1948 she married John Kochert. He proceeded her in death in 2007.
She enjoyed exercising, making ceramics and porcelain, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed her family. Survivors include her sons, John W. (Angie) Kochert of Fort Wayne and Tim B. (Rhonda) Kochert of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Kelly (Gary) Rowland of New York City and Matt (Diana) Kochert, of Fort Wayne, Carrie (Ben) Guffey of Windsor Colorado, Kristen (Casey) Lind of Eaton, Colorado and Keith Kochert (Christiana Strand) of Anchorage, Alaska, Theresa Mechura of Elyria, Ohio, Katie (Mark) Cinfuno of Owasso, Okla., Becky Allen of Papillion, Neb., and Chris (Trisha) McLaughlin of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her daughter Shirley McLaughlin, a sister, Jeannie Maguire; and grandson, Mike McLaughlin. Calling is on Tuesday April 4, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley on DuPont Road in Fort Wayne, with an Eastern Star service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service is at 12:30 pm on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley. Burial to follow at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to American Cancer Society.
