

BETTY LOU (NORTON) WORMAN, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at her home with her family by her side. "You're in the arms of the angel, may you find some comfort there." Born April 13, 1931, in Fort Wayne; she lived there for the majority of her life. "She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who also adored her two cats: all who will miss her dearly! She enjoyed feeling and watching all the birds and squirrels that frolic in her neighborhood." She also loved to read and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne. She is survived by her two sisters, June Snyder and Phyllis Peters; two sisters-in-law, Betty Norton and Joyce Brown; nine daughters, Gloria Worman, Vickie Malott, April Baker, Beth Brown, Anne Williams, and Amy Worman, all of Fort Wayne, Brenda Weaver of Hicksville, Ohio, Paula Canter of Garrett, and Sara Lowery of Huntertown; and stepson, Jim Worman. She treasured each of her 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three sisters; husband, Carl Worman; and daughter, Carol Worman. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens.
