BILLY JOE POSEY, 50, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, 7:24 p.m., at St. Joseph Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1961, in Pineville, Ky., he was a son of Vernon L. Posey and Jessie Young. He worked in restoration at D&S Interior for several years.
"He loved his grandchildren and his children." Surviving are father, Vernon L. Posey; mother, Jessie Posey; sisters, Jeri Posey; brother, Royce (Cindy) Posey; life partner, Linda Gonzalez; son, Billy Gonzalez; daughters, Daniell (Leroy) Wilson and Jessica (Casey) Opper; and grandchildren, Alex, Dee, Anna, Jazzy, Liyah, and Devin.
Service is 1 p.m. Thursday C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, with calling two hours prior. Pastor Truman Smith officiating. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to the family.
