Blaine K. Robrock, 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2025. He was born in Huntington, Indiana on December 17, 1935, to the late Clarence E. and Frances P. (Bryant) Robrock. He graduated from Huntington High School and attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, where he earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
He first worked at Farnsworth Electronics Co. in New Haven, Indiana and later worked 15 years for several divisions of the International Telephone & Telegraph Corp. in Fort Wayne. Upon the death of his father, Blaine eventually left engineering and took over management of the family petroleum business in Huntington, which his father founded in 1924 as an agency of Indian Refining Co. Robrock Oil Co., Inc. ultimately sold Texaco, Citgo, Ashland and private brand petroleum products in Huntington and surrounding counties.
Blaine married his high school sweetheart, Joyce A. Auer, in 1958 and together they raised their two daughters, Valerie and Eileen.
Blaine greatly enjoyed traveling to many of the national parks on family vacations. He was especially fascinated with Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, so for his 60th birthday, he climbed it alongside his daughter, Eileen, and her husband, Kevin. He and Joyce loved the rocky coast of Maine and spent many vacations in Acadia National Park. His hobbies included golfing and bowling, and he belonged to several leagues. Blaine had a lifelong interest in astronomy and spent many evenings viewing the skies with his telescopes. He and Joyce were avid Purdue fans and held season tickets to Purdue football games for 25 years.
Blaine was a past member of the Huntington Kiwanis Club and was also a member of the Evangelical United Methodist church in Huntington, where he served on the Board of Trustees.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Roselyn B. Robrock and Arlene L. (Carl) Hack.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters, Valerie K. (Paul) Collins, Dr. Eileen R. (Kevin) Raywood; grandchildren, Michael B. Collins, Margaret R. (Andrew) Sherwood, Aubrey C. Raywood, Cameron C. Raywood; great-granddaughter, Caroline M. Sherwood; and niece, Jana C. (Reo) Parrett.
