

Brenda was known for her generous spirit, her warm and giving heart, and her incredible talent in the kitchen. Her cooking brought family and friends together, and her home was a place where everyone felt welcome, cared for, and loved. Above all, Brenda cherished her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loving each of them with her whole heart.
Brenda had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh, bringing warmth and joy wherever she went. She also had an adventurous spirit and delighted in traveling to new places, embracing every opportunity to explore, discover, and make lasting memories.
Brenda was loved by her three children: Kaye (LJ) Flanagan, Larry (Jeanette) West, and Clarissa (Michael) Rooney. She was a devoted grandmother to Christian Rooney, Brandon (Regina) Rooney, Thomas Rooney, Lauren (Andrew) Jimenez, Hannah (Christian) West, Patrick Flanagan, Tyler Flanagan, and Grayson West. She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren: Brecken Rooney, Nash Luna, Ivy Luna, and her soon-to-arrive, baby Nolan Jimenez.
Brenda is further loved by her siblings, Linda (James) Farmer, Shon Praul, and Claire (Sheldon) Stephens, and her many nieces and nephews.
Brenda was loved by so many—for her kindness, her extraordinary cooking, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy of warmth, generosity, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service honoring Brenda’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2025, D.O. McCombs Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN, with a memorial gathering one hour prior.
