I first met Brent in the early 90s when I worked at Pepsi and he worked for Seyferts and we had essentially the same stores.  We became casual friends because I saw him frequently and because he was very easy to like.  A few years later, that casual friendship blossomed into close friends as he moved in across the street.  My family and his family did  a lot together over the years.  My fond memories include: going to Freedom indoor football games, playing darts, cornhole, horseshoes.  He was always up for doing something and loved the competition.  We even made a traveling Shelilagh trophy for when Notre Dame(My team) played Purdue(Brent's team) in football.  He will be sorely missed, never forgotten.  Rest in Peace my dear friend.  My condolences go to Carol and the kids.

I remember the first time Carol and Brent met. Carol and I were having a girl's night and we were at a bar in Decatur.  Brent kept flirting terribly with Carol! It was funny. His smile just lit up a room! He told me that evening he was going to make Carol his girl. And even a week before he died, he still told me that Carol was his girl.

So sorry to hear of Brents passing. May God comfort you all during your time of grieving.

Brent & Carol were our backyard neighbors in a wonderful loving neighborhood.. So many backyard memories and parties.. Brent was the mastermind for all the tailgate trips to  watch Purdue football and as I found out you never bought any other brand of potato chips to a tailgate with Brent around.   He would crab the bag and give it a 4th down punt and chips would fly ….Brent & Carol were awesome host when invited to there home or backyard. We loved those years and will forever remember his jokes & amazing smile. So sorry Carol and family for your loss.. God bless you all during this very difficult time and the days & years to come. Uncle Brent married my Aunt Carol in 1993 and brought two beautiful blonde little girls with him. He was a jokester and absolutely loved sports. Most of my memories revolve around the uncles and my dad taking over the TV during Sunday dinners for football, baseball, basketball.. or whatever it may have been. He was the odd one out with his love for Purdue while the rest were hardcore IU fans!! And he loved the Dolphins! Which I also loved  when I was younger, only for the logo really. I am sure he would appreciate my love of sports now, purely for the sport itself. Brent and Carol went on to have two more kiddos who were super cute and adorable growing up and it’s so hard to believe how the time has flown by. It’s probably been a couple years since I last saw Uncle Brent at Thanksgiving, but I will always remember his sweet smile, silly jokes, and his love for his family!! Until we meet again! boiler up!! I met Brent playing tennis a couple of years ago and we were partners several times in a mixed league.  We always had such a great time.  He was a gracious partner and always had a great attitude.  We laughed a lot and had fun whether we won or lost.  I wish I had time to get to know him better.   I know he loved his family and enjoyed life!!!!

My sympathy and prayers for the family. Brent played on our mixed tennis team and also up in Garrett. He was a great tennis player and a kind man.  He talked about his family often and we shared a love for Purdue!!  RIP Brent.  Carol Daman

My husband, Kevin and I along with Denise Cleveland and Carol Damon really enjoyed playing tennis with Brent at the indoor court south of Garrett. He was always positive and fun and also a good player.  We really miss playing with him and talking to him after the games. Kevin liked to talk about the Pittsburgh Pirates with Brent- not many fans locally, so it was very nice to find this in common with Brent. We are very sorry for your loss.
