

Brooksnell accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early
age and was baptized.
She was a loving mother who cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, dressing up, and having fun.
Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother, and she deeply
treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Brooksnell
also enjoyed watching her favorite shows and reading the Bible.
A strong and independent woman, Brooksnell held various roles
throughout her career. She began working in 1978 at St. Anne's
Nursing Home and later worked at Chase Bank, where she remained until her retirement in 2009.
On March 6, 2026, Brooksnell Walker peacefully passed away at the
age of 67. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Walker
and Minnie Lee Freeman; her stepfather, Charles Freeman; her
brothers, Henry Walker Jr. and George Walker; and her sisters, Brenda Freeman and Terriann Freeman.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Malcolm Walker; her
daughter, Erica Walker; her sisters, Joanne George of Cleveland, Ohio, Deloris Walker Brooks, Barbara Walker, Marilyn Walker, Ruth Walker of Uniontown, Alabama, Patricia Edwards (Maurice Edwards) and Geneva Winborn (god-sister); her brothers, Mack Walker, Henry Walker II, Charles Freeman and Tori Humphrey Sr. as well as four beloved grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
