What a great influence Byron had on so many in the Village Woods and Harding community.  An outstanding Coach who sacrificed his time, his skills, his home, his thoughts, his expertise,  This is a person who dedicated his life and energy to the youth of our schools and to his own children.  A person who put kids first and did everything he could to keep so many on the right path.

I, as a father, have tried to follow in his footsteps as I raised my own two daughters.  He was a father who invested so much of his own life and channeled so much of his own energy to guarantee success in his kids endeavors.  Kim and Barney and Steve have been so blessed.

I will miss Byron.  But I have loved watching his three children grow up and become successful.  I know, deep in my heart, that Byron is in a better place.  I have many fond memories of wrestling matches and even football games that we have shared and that I will always treasure.  I know that Byron is wearing that big prideful grin on his face as he looks down upon his family that he and Barb have raised.

My family remembers Mr. Ulrick.  We lived a few house down the street from the Ulrick family.  He was always active racing derby cars and other sports with the children.   He will be missed by all of us and we give our loving thoughts to all of you in memory of him.   The Shearer Family (Jack, Dixie, Jack and Christina)
