Candace Marie McGlocklin (née Davis), 73, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 12, 1952, in Bloomington, Indiana, Candace spent her life rooted in the communities she loved most.
Candace dedicated many years of her career to Crane in Bloomington, where she worked in personal finance before retiring. After retirement, she pursued one of her greatest passions by starting a small online business creating vintage jewelry, a craft that brought her both joy and purpose.
She had a deep love for crime shows, murder mysteries, and documentaries, and could often be found enjoying a good book. Candace also had a lifelong love for rock and roll music, especially the timeless songs of The Beatles. She shared a special love for dogs, cherishing their companionship and the joy they brought into her life.
One of Candace’s greatest joys was her lifelong friendship with Sally Jones, who was more like a soulmate than a friend.
She shared a special bond with her grandsons, Liam Martin and Alex McCullough, whom she loved dearly and took great pride in.
More than anything, Candace will be remembered for her warm and welcoming spirit. She never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel special—often greeting others with a simple, heartfelt “honey.” She truly loved people, and her kindness and unique personality left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Rachel Martin, Sean McCullough, and Matt McGlocklin; and her grandchildren, Liam Martin and Alex McCullough. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and all whose lives she touched.
Candace was a truly special and one-of-a-kind woman whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, hosted by the family at Rachel's home.
