Carlene Jo Griffin passed on April 16, 2026, at the age of 87, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on May 15, 1938, to the late Carl and Mary (Meade) Hunnicutt at home in Huntington County, Indiana. Carlene will be remembered as the handiest woman around; she loved to build things. She was a woodworker, an experienced seamstress and an artist at heart. She loved to share her talents. Carlene is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Michael) Pendarvis and Mary Davies; grandchildren, Angie, Jamie, Cassie, Carrie, Mariah, Adam, Matthew, Michael, Tanya, Jeff, Tiffany, and Mandy; 34 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Bruce Griffin; and children, Sherry Mitchell, Susan Kuhn, Kenneth Michael Hutcherson, and Shelley Renee Roarke. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with the funeral service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Mungovan, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802. Burial will take place at 3:00 pm at Jones Cemetery on State Road 3 near Warren. Memorial contributions in Carlene's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
