Carlotta Parsons

After a long, uphill battle against numerous medical conditions, Carlotta Mae Parsons, 78, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on July 3, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and has been received into the arms of God. She was born December 25th, 1937, the daughter of Carl and Julia Dalrymple. Carla married Bill Parsons on May 11, 1996, and remained married to him until he suddenly passed away on August 25, 2008. Carla, along with her husband Bill, enjoyed Sunday drives deer watching and many fishing trips together. Bill had a huge love for Notre Dame football and eventually won over Carla and her Michigan fandom. Carla moved to Angola, Indiana in 2010, where she enjoyed daily shenanigans with her friends at the Backway Lounge. Carla loved cats, and carried a special place in her heart for Shadow, who passed away in her arms just a few months before she did. Carla enjoyed bird watching, especially humming birds. She loved to sit and watch them out the window every morning while drinking her coffee. Surviving her are daughter, Pamela Higdon of Angola IN, step-son Billy Parsons of Chicago IL, sister Marjorie Abbott of Angola IN, brother, Rudy Dalrymple of Sandusky OH, granddaughter, Samantha Brandon of Union City, MI, and grandson, Keaton Shelton of Angola IN. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and friends. In Accordance with her wishes, she has been cremated. There will be a gravesite memorial service at 1:00pm on Monday July 18th at Highland Park Cemetery, located at 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
