Carmela "Candy" Judith Meyers

Carmela "Candy" Judith Meyers, 85 passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Carmela was born September 4, 1935 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Paul and Antoinette D' Angelo. She was a Southside graduate in the class of 1953. Candy was a member at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Church for 55 years. She enjoyed bowling, working, cooking and most of all time with her family. She is survived by her children, Michele (Doug) Perkins, Tom Meyers, and Linda (Greg) Hogge; grandchildren, Greg (Regina) Hogge II,Chris Hogge, Madison (Adam) Schaffer, Kiersten Perkins, and Ryan (Marissa) Perkins; great-grandchildren, Brody, Abby, Estelle, Vienna, and Makhi Hogge, Tate and Lucy Schaffer; sister, Josephine (David) Durnell; and sister-in-law, Nadine Meyers. Also preceding her in passing was her husband of 58 years, Alvin Meyers; and brothers, Jimmy and Sam D' Angelo. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church 11337 US-27 Fort Wayne, Indiana 46816 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4-8pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes- Foster Park 6301 Fairfield Avenue Fort Wayne, Indiana 46807. Memorial contributions in Carmela’s memory may be made to St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Food Bank, Hoagland EMS, or Poe EMS.
