Carol Sue “Bobbie” Brecht. 74, passed away surrounded by love on August 19, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born December 24, 1948, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late Louis and Bernice I. Sorg.
Bobbie worked in customer service for 27 years at Dave Baker Agency and was fondly referred to as the office “Mom”.
She was a community activist for animals, showed dogs, and devoted her entire life to her loved ones.
Bobbie is survived by her children, Tonya Houchin of Fort Wayne, IN; Don Brecht of New Haven, IN; 6 grandchildren Jenna, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Hannah, Amelia, Gabrielle, 3 great grandchildren Adrian, Kenneth, Lincoln and her beloved dog “Tigger”
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday August 24, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Private burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Celebration of Life to to be determined.
