Obituary of Carol R. Klinger
Carol R. "Grandma Rosie" Klinger, 85, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018. She was born on May 3, 1932, a daughter of the late Harry A. and Edith C. (Nichter) Weber. She began her work career at General Electric, next working at Morrill Motors, and finally working at Jon Ingleman DDS before retiring. She was a member at St. Therese Catholic Church. Her faith and her family were both very important to her. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, and aunt. In her younger years, she worked at Grant’s five-and-dime in the bakery. She will be remembered fondly for her baking skills including coffee cake, apple dumplings, and custard pie just to name a few. She also enjoyed spending time at the lake. Surviving family include her children, Mary (Randy) Goeglein and Michael (June) Klinger; five grandchildren, Jeff (Sarah) Goeglein, Jennifer Goeglein, Katie (Brandon) Hirsch, Chris Klinger, and Sarah (Nick) Keefer; nine great grandchildren, Marielle, Carson, Kate, Brody, Addison, Grant, Brooke, Nora, and Hazel; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, James F. Klinger; and seven siblings, Geraldine Graham, Kenneth Weber, Robert Weber, Evelyn Papai, Donald Weber, Mary Ann Logan, and Ralph Weber. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 am on Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-8 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne with a rosary at 7:30 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Masses or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
