I have been working with Carol since 2007 when I was introduced to the Shilling Sales Amana brand Store. When Carol had occasion to visit Houston, we hit it off immediately. It was like re-visiting a friend not meeting someone for the first time. Over the years we talked about everything especially the weather differences between Indiana and Texas where this summer we were both under the same heat dome. Carol was excellent in all her endeavors. I am really going to miss my friend and colleague. Hopefully, Shilling Sales will carry on in Carol's memory. God bless her family and those she loved. Carol was the best neighbor in our community. She always had a smile and a great sense of humor. Whenever she was in her car pulling away from her garage and she saw us walking our dog,  she would roll down her car window and say hi to Poppy and, oh, to us too - Melanie and Bob. Carol was an icon at our community pool - The Mound Pool. Whenever she was in the pool with her neighbor girlfriends and the gate was closed, I would ask first if I, a male, could enter and fortunately, she always granted me access but told me I had to behave. Carol will be greatly missed.

We went to Concordia High School with Carol.  She was kind and lots of fun.  Dave and I saw her a couple years ago and enjoyed talking over old High School memories.  Our deepest sympathy to her family.

I will miss carol with all my heart, her sassy-ness/sarcasm, her love for the business and how she cared for her employees and how she supported local businesses. Everytime i make my guacamole i will think of her as she always loved it. One of the best bosses i have ever had.

I have such fond and warm memories growing up thanks to Carol.  She will truly be missed.  My heartfelt thoughts, prayers and condolences to Christy and the rest of Carol's family and friends.

She was funny and generous, with an astounding ability to remember numbers or look at a report and immediately tell what was off. She loved her family and her business, always looking for ways to improve Shilling Sales for customers and employees. She enjoyed cats, antiques, food and fun, and will be profoundly missed.

Carol was a wonderful woman.  We enjoyed many fun times at the Covington Creek pool. She was a very intelligent woman and contributed a lot to Covington Creek as President. We liked to share fun memories of growing up in Wildwood Park. She will be missed by many. My sympathy to her family.

Carol was so dear to me, I miss her💔Our Wednesday afternoons breathing,  de stressing, and laughing were the highlight of my week.  She would light up anytime we chatted about Christy and the girls, her sisters, flowers, food, and just about anything.  I cherish the life lessons she shared, her wisdom, and advice.  May Carol rest in peace and may all her loved ones be comforted.  🙏🏼
