Carolyn Jean Putman, 89, passed away on March 9, 2026. She was born February 17, 1937, in Springport, Indiana, daughter of the late William and Charline (Lamb) Downs. Carolyn loved to read, shop, bird watching and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Richard) Bultemeyer; and grandson, Andrew Bultemeyer. Carolyn was also preceded in death by her husband, William L. Putman. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
