She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband Derek Burnett; children Alan (Rebecca) Ganaway, Lakeesha Ganaway, Sherman (Bree) Ganaway, Korderek (Keylene) Moore, Kyesha Moore; brothers Jimmie Jr (Nicole) King, Dr. Gerald (Claudette) King, Marcus (Getania) Johnson; sisters Felicia Macon, Fonda and Benny Brown; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Carrolyn is preceded in death by her father Jimmie King Sr., her mother Annie Hill King-Johnson, and her brother Fred King.
A Celebration of Life to honor Carrolyn will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at New Grace, 1201 McKee Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46806.
