Cary R. Sampson, 55, went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 4, 2022, after a long hard battle with diabetes. He was born September 19, 1966 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of Curt Sampson and the late Cindy Mertz.
Cary worked at Tuthill Corporation and doing lawncare for many people in the Waynedale area. His passion was his Harley Softail, short track racing and Nascar. Cary is survived by his father, Curt (Theresa) Sampson of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Candice (JT) Hooks of South Bend, IN; son, Chad Sampson of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers, Craig Sampson of New Haven, IN, Brian Sampson; sister, Amber (James) Ruiz of Columbia City, IN; step-sister, Keli (Rex) Emeniser of Monroeville, IN; step-brother, John Mertz; grandchildren, Gabriel, Sidney of South Bend, IN. A special thanks to Pat and Margaret Walters.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 11:00am, until time of the service. Burial immediately following at Covington Memorial Gardens.
