

Catherine Ann Rosine, 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 9, 2026. She was born on May 2, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, to Mary McPhail and Carlyle Michael. Catherine graduated from Central High School in Flint, Michigan, in 1962. Shortly thereafter, she married the love of her life, David Rosine. Together they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage before David’s passing in April 2026.
Catherine was devoted to her family and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening, volunteering in her community association, participating in the Jaycees, and spending time with her Newcomers group, where she made many lasting friendships. A passionate Golden Retriever enthusiast, Catherine dedicated more than 25 years to breeding and exhibiting Golden Retrievers. She was a proud member of the Golden Retriever Club of America and the Northeastern Kennel Club. Her love for the breed and commitment to responsible breeding and showing earned her the respect and friendship of many in the dog community.
Catherine is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Fredrick (Scott), and her son, Michael Rosine (Jerra); her beloved grandchildren, Katherine Fredrick, Sarah Fredrick, Madison Rosine, and Chelsie Rosine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary McPhail and Carlyle Michael, and by her beloved husband, David Rosine.
Catherine will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, and the many lives she touched through her friendships, volunteer work, and lifelong passion for Golden Retrievers. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Fort Wayne and Catherine‘s name.
