Catherine Kay B Sweigert

Catherine B. (Kay) Sweigert, passed away on Monday Nov. 28 , 2011, at St. Anne Home, Fort Wayne. She was born March 6, 1925 in Fultondale, Alabama, the daughter of Charles and Minnie Acton. She was married 52 years to George Harry Sweigert, who preceded her in death in 1999. Kay worked as a hairdresser for more than 60 years. Kay loved to work and was a true entrepreneur. Kay was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. The last survivor of her 15 siblings, she is survived by six children, sons Gregory (Carol) Sweigert of Mt Prospect, IL; Robert (Laura) Sweigert of Ft Wayne, David Sweigert of Livermore, CA; George Webb Sweigert of Portland, OR; daughters Dianne Fisher of Homasassa, FL; and Sunny (Dick) Lemming of Klamath Falls, OR; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Kay will be greatly missed.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday Dec 17th , 2011 at 10:30 at St Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive, with calling one hour prior. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Ft Wayne League of the Blind , or Unity Christ Church Ft Wayne, IN. www.klaehnfahlmelton.com
