Catherine Alice Weimer

Catherine B. Weimer, 64, of Fort Wayne died Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. She was born February 10, 1961, in Oakland, California to John Bowron Sr. and the late Alice (Spencer) Bowron. Cathy was an incredible woman who poured her heart and soul into everything she did. She was a single mom who raised 4 children, whom she called her greatest blessings. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend who loved her family with all her heart.

Cathy was a graduate of Purdue University where she studied computer technology. She was a dedicated employee to Northwest Allen County Schools, where she spent over 20 years of her professional career working in their technology department. Cathy also spent her evenings at a place she loved so dearly as the office manager of Tiffany & Co. Studio of Dance for 16 years. She was a devout Catholic and long-time member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, where she taught catechism classes for several years. However, her greatest life’s work was being a mom to her 4 children.

Cathy did not know a stranger. She was kind, selfless, loyal, resilient, and strong and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her children, Alicia (Jordan) Vaught, Kristen (Andrew) Orwig, Elizabeth Weimer, David Weimer; grandchildren, Scarlett Vaught and Audrey Orwig; her father, John (Cletia) Bowron Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida; her brothers, John Bowron Jr. of Cypress, Texas and Jeff (Dawn) Bowron of Sharpsburg, Georgia; and several nieces, nephews, great-nephews and a great-niece. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Bowron of Fort Wayne; her aunt, Patricia Maloney of Fort Wayne; and her uncle, Harold Maloney of Denver, Colorado.
