Charlene “Char” Ridenour, 69, of Hoagland, Indiana, passed away on October 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on April 18, 1956, in Lima, Ohio, and lived the majority of her life in Hoagland.
Char was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, country music, and Jimmy Buffett. She loved her friends with fierce loyalty and was the quintessential “ride or die” friend. She was a devoted grandmother and trusted confidant, she never met a stranger. Char was known for her kindness, humor, and refreshingly unfiltered vocabulary. She was always candid, hoping to get a laugh, but didn’t give a damn if it offended anyone. She loved her family and friends with her whole heart and she will be missed terribly.
Char is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Green) Bragg (Chad Bragg); her son, Arik Lolmaugh; her grandsons, Jesse Koch and Darcy Koch; her granddaughter, Carlee Lolmaugh of Sneedville, Tennessee; as well as her brother, Rick Ridenour.
A celebration of Char’s life will be held in the spring of 2026, around the time that would have marked her 70th birthday.
