Charlene "Terry" E. Van Kirk, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 . Terry was born March 28, 1934 in Moline, Illinois, daughter to the late Earl Boyd and Henrietta (Stalker) Palmer. Terry worked for Rea Magnet Wire and was an active member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Surviving Terry are her children, Mary A. (Kevin) Tilbury of Fort Wayne and Michael W. (Toria) Betson of Nashville, Indiana; step-children, Peggy Naue, Pamela Lowe, Jeffery (Terri) Van Kirk, and Thomas (Rhonda) Van Kirk; 23 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Arthur Betson on September 9, 1993; second husband, James Gregg Van Kirk on April 18, 2024; grandson, Brian Tilbury on February 15, 2011; and siblings, Vicki Brown, Flora Jean Simpson, and Robert Boyd. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Lutheran Life Villages, 6701 South Anthony Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46816, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Terry will also be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809.
