Charles “Chuck” L. Alcox, 85, passed away on January 8, 2026. Born on August 24, 1940, in Lathrop, Missouri, to parents Clarence Alcox and Pearl (Hebing) Amstutz, Chuck was beloved by so many. After graduating from Elmhurst High School in 1959, Chuck went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force until 1963. One of his notable achievements was serving at the Berlin Wall. Chuck was the life of the party. His smile was contagious, and he always had a way to make people laugh. He didn’t know a stranger. Beyond all else, he was a kind and gentle soul whose memory will forever be cherished by those that loved him.
Surviving Chuck are his daughter, Linda Sharp; son, Jeff Alcox; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Clyde Alcox; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Alcox; son, Kevin Alcox; parents, Clarence Alcox and Pearl Amstutz; step-father, Max Amstutz; and sister, Evelyn Tompkins.
