Charles W. Bristow, 90, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida. Mr. Bristow was born on July 16, 1928, in Bedford, Iowa to Donald and Clara (Maring) Bristow. Mr. Bristow served his country honorably with the United States Navy during World War II. On January 10, 1950, he married his wife of over 50 years, Barbara J. Martin in Fort Wayne. Charles worked in heat treating at General Electric in Fort Wayne for 27 years. He served on the Adams Township Fire Department for 27 years with 12 years as Chief. He was a member of the New Haven Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the New Haven Navy Club Ship 245. Surviving are his Daughter; Dorinda (Jim) Kohlun of Cape Coral, FL, Son; Mark (Linda) Bristow of Branson, MO, Son; Tim (Carol) Bristow of New Haven, IN, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, Sister; Dolores Ballough of Columbus, OH. Charles was preceded in death by his spouse, parents, and son; Mathew Bristow. Funeral service is 1:00 pm, July 27, 2018 at - D.O.
