Charles E. Patton, 72, of Fort Wayne, peacefully went to be with his lord and savior on Monday March 18, surrounded by his family. Born at home in East Bernstadt, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Lillie (nee. Rader) Patton. He proudly served his country in the Air Force,he served as a police officer for the city of London, Kentucky, was a member of American Legion Post #241, Waynedale, and was a member of The Chapel.
He is survived by his children, Deanna (William) Hill, of Fort Wayne, Timothy E. Patton, of Yulee, Florida, Lisa Patton, of Fort Wayne, James (Gloria) Grosso, of Denver, Colorado, Patricia Adams, and Randall (Pam) Patton, both of London, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his girlfriend, Suzanne Handwork.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Friday, March 22, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior to service. Calling will also be held from 11 to 1 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday March 21, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Waynedale
