Charles "Chuck" L. Pickard, 88, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his home. He was born August 31, 1933 in Garrett, IN, son of the late Oscar and Loree (John) Pickard. Chuck was an Elmhurst High School graduate, proudly served in the U. S. Army in Korea, retired from Navistar, and attended the Chapel. Chuck's hobbies included; golf, hunting, traveling, camping and woodworking. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Roberta M. (Vought) Pickard of Fort Wayne; children, Deborah (Robert) Hein of Fort Wayne, Sharilee (Mark) Gilpin and Randall (Jennifer) Pickard, both of Roanoke, IN; grandchildren, Jessica Hein, Jillian (Devin Bedwell) Hein, Justin (Azin) Hein, Nick (Sara) Gilpin, Audrey (Tyler) Watts, Trevor (Rachel) Gilpin, Jack Pickard, and Reid Pickard; and great grandchildren, Everly, Tala, Anamarie, Adaline, Cree, Camden, Rae, Mabel, and Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Bryce; and brother, Ned Pickard. Funeral service will take place on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Chapel, 2505 West Hamilton Road South, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46814 with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials in honor of Chuck's memory may be made to Pathfinder Services of Huntington or Honor Flight.
