Born on March 1, 1949, in Muncie, Indiana to Lloyd Barnes and Mary Irelan (Reading); Cheryl was married to the love of her life, Paul “Pete” Nixon, for over 25 years before his passing in 2007.
Cheryl is survived by her devoted daughter, Angela Winter; grandson, Chase (Vanessa) Gibson; granddaughter, Abby Gibson; former daughter-in-law, Ali Holding; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Lilli and Connor; her son, Charles Adams; her brother, Billy Joe Bess, and several nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her sons, David, and John Adams; and a granddaughter, Amanda (Vernon) Hozey.
In addition to her husband, Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandson, Jake Adams, and sister-in-law Betty Bess.
Cheryl’s life will be honored by her family during a private ceremony.
