Chong C. Kirk

Chong C. Kirk, 74, passed away peacefully with family Saturday, April 1, 2023, under the care of Heart to Heart Hospice, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on April 16, 1948, in South Korea. Chong married her beloved husband on July 27, 1973, at the American Embassy in Seoul, South Korea. This year they would be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They renewed their vows in August of 1984 at First Presbyterian Church in Ft Wayne. She later became a charter member of the first Korean congregation in Ft. Wayne. Chong was led to Jesus soon after immigrating to this country, and faith was a pillar of her belief and values. Some of Chong's best-loved activities included cooking and visiting with friends and family. Chong was most prideful of her grandchildren. Her motivation to see through these last several years was to be a part of her granddaughter's lives.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Kirk of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Tom (Tanya) Kirk (Beverly & Savannah); daughter Emily Bodenschatz (Jade, Mia, & Scarlett) both of Fort Wayne, IN.

Funeral Service will be 11 am Saturday, April 8, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road with visitation one hour prior. Visitation is also from 4-8 pm Friday, April 7, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
