Chris Hartman, age 34, passed away January 6, 2025. He was born December 12, 1990, to parents James Steven Hartman and Robin Lynn Hartman, in Fort Wayne, IN. Growing up along with his two brothers Brandon and Steve, Chris attended Wayne High School and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
As an uncle to his nieces and nephews, Chris was a source of love, fun, and was always ready to share an adventure or lend a hand. To his brothers, he was their best friend and leaves behind many cherished memories. Loved ones will remember his infectious smile and free spirit.
Chris was an extreme gamer, known to his online friends as “Varcom.” His enthusiasm for all things nerdy—whether it was gaming or comics—was contagious, and he brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.
Chris is survived by his father, James Steven Hartman; brothers, Brandon and Steve (Chelsy) Hartman; nieces, Payton Hartman, Robin Hartman, and Jarelynn Hartman; and nephew, Elijah Hartman. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Robin Lynn Hartman.
Though his time with us was short, Chris's impact was immeasurable. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
