I was close friends with Christina around high school for many years. She brought so much fun and joy to my life. I have always carried a special place in my heart for her. I could not be more sad to hear she is gone. Please except my heartfelt condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.

I met Christina in high school. She was so much fun to be around, and much of that was because she was a genuine, loving soul who allowed you to be - and valued you - for simply being yourself. High school is a time where you often feel like you have to fight to fit in with people, and Christina never made me or any of her other friends feel like that. She loved people for who they were, and fully embraced fun and joy. I'm sure she continued to bless her family and family with this love and joy throughout her too short life; and that her legacy of love lives on through her daughters, family, and friends. Praying God's grace and peace for Christina's family and loved ones.

Christina was my soul sister, best friend, and not just my cousin. She was infinitely kind, loving, generous, and had the best sense of humor in the world. She never failed to make me belly laugh no matter what was going on in life. She was also one of the strongest and bravest souls I will ever know. I’m so incredibly proud of her and for her legacy of love. Speaking of love, she loved her beautiful daughters with all of her heart and soul. She was so incredibly proud of the amazing women they have become. She talked of them constantly and with so much joy. We will miss her every single day. Blaze on, sweet cousin! You are a glorious angel now and forever in our hearts!

I went to high school with Christina.  She was always kind, thoughtful and fun to be around.  I am so sad to hear this news and will be thinking about her sweet family.

Mom always said she hated having her picture taken—but I’ve always loved her smile. It was warm, genuine, and could brighten any room. Even when she tried to hide from the camera, that smile would sneak through, lighting up the moment. It’s one of the things I’ll always hold close—how her joy could lift others, even when she didn’t realize it. Her smile was a reflection of her love, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

This was the time we traveled to North Carolina for nationals, after I qualified in pole vault. Mom was right there, cheering me on and supporting me every step of the way. She endured the scorching heat without complaint, just to be by my side. Whether it was helping me stay hydrated, calming my nerves, or simply being present, she made sure I was prepared. Her dedication and love were unwavering—she showed up for me in every way that mattered. That trip wasn’t just about the competition; it was about having her there, believing in me like she always did.

This was one of the many times we went to the Roller Dome to skate and have fun with friends. Mom never skated—she always said her ankles couldn’t handle it—so she’d sit and watch from the sidelines. But I always made sure to check in on her, just to make sure she was okay and comfortable. Even though she wasn’t out on the rink, her presence meant everything. She was there for the laughter, the music, and the joy of watching us enjoy ourselves. That was her way of showing love—being there, even when she couldn’t join in.

This is the day of my sister’s graduation party. Mom was there, smiling and proud, just like she always was when it came to celebrating our achievements. She had a way of making every moment feel bigger—more special—just by being part of it. I remember her helping set up decorations, fussing over the cake, making sure everything was perfect for my sister. She didn’t just show up—she poured her heart into making us feel loved and celebrated.

That day, like so many others, reminded me how deeply she cared. Her pride in us was never quiet; it was in her eyes, her laughter, and the way she told everyone how far we’d come. She was the heart of our celebrations. And now, every milestone feels a little emptier without her.

This was the night of my graduation. Mom had traveled all the way from Indiana just to see me walk across the stage, and I knew how proud she was. She had always been proud—of every step I took, every milestone I reached. Her love was constant, and she was my biggest cheerleader. It’s hard to imagine moving forward without her by my side. It’s going to hurt, deeply.
