Christopher “C.J.” R. Pelz Jr., 30, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his home. Born October 28, 1989 in Fort Wayne, he was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Vero Beach, FL, and attended Ivy Tech College in Fort Wayne. He was employed with Shawnee Construction for several years. C.J. enjoyed playing Play Station 4, riding four wheelers and dirt bikes with his brothers, cook outs, working with his hands, drawing, and being outdoors. A bold and outspoken man, he was fun-loving and generous. He was very excited to become a father and will be missed by so many. Surviving are his mother, Tammie (Ralph) Farris of Fort Wayne; father, Christopher R. Pelz Sr. of New Haven; infant daughter, Sophia Pelz; brothers, Terrence Riley and Nic Pelz, both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Laura (Roland) Talton of South Bend, IN, and Alshea Wilkinson of Lawton, OK; girlfriend, Brea Blumenschein of Fort Wayne; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a host of friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Lana Thompson; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Patricia Pelz; and step-grandfather, Elden Farris. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Advantage-Mungovan, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne. A private funeral service will be held by the family.
