A letter to my nephew from his  Aunt Patty Russell. 

Christopher William Russell it was one year ago today you passed into heaven. This leaves a big void in the lives of all who loved and cared for you.  Relatives and friends alike. 

Your mother shared with me of your great love and pride for
 for your daughter Maryn and wife Courtney. Wish I could have met them. They sound very special. 

Your death dealt a big blow to your parents. Children are not suppose to die before their parents. Eleven months, to the day,  after your death- your dear mother Linda Lee Russell joined you in heaven. Both of your deaths  unexpectedly. Your father William Larry Russell is  beyond sad loosing both his son and wife in close proximity. 
Am thinking of your sister, my beloved niece,  Melodie May. God bless her in her time of grief. 

Some of my words when thinking of you are:  fun, artistic, adventurous, kind, generous and dedicated. 

I want to thank your friends from school and college days who posted photos on this site. I enjoyed seeing them. Chris was a handsome college dude and little boy. He looked very happy in your photos. Chris’s mother Linda told me how delighted she and Chris’s dad Bill were you attended  his Celebration of Life. 
i am sorry that I was unable to attend because of my handicaps to pay my respects and to meet your friends.  

Dear nephew- May you and your mother be celebrating in the after life together until the rest of us join you.

I am so sorry to hear about Chris passing. I have fond memories of the time we spent together during family get-togethers in Columbiana at our grandparents house, or on family visits to Ft. Wayne.    

Chris had a wonderful dry sense of humor with a great demeanor. Chris and I bonded over sports,  talking about college football in particular . Chris was thoughtful - he showed interest in my mothers art work going to her house out of the way on a visit to our grandparents to see her art collection, this meant a lot to her.

My thought are with Chris family today as you celebrate his life. You will be missed cousin, take care.

This is Dave’s 9 th birthday party in 1975. Chris was 10 at the time. Chris was a huge part of our childhood and beyond. We miss him and remember him forever. RIP Bro. Love to the Russell’s and thank you for moving in across the street back in 1969.

Sorry for the poor quality of the picture.    This was taken outside of the house in Fort Wayne where I grew up.  Chris and I grew up together  and lived  about 2 blocks away from each other.  I am thankful for the life of "Russ", and will always cherish the memories of all the good times we had.  My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.   He was a good man and a life taken way too soon.

My sincere condolences to Chris's family.  I have many fond memories of him spending time in our basement, shooting pool or playing ping pong.  I was kid sister wanting to the hang with my older brothers.  He was always friendly and greeted me with a smile.  May your warm memories bring you comfort.

Chris you always took us on the most amazing adventures. Floating around Locke Lomond was magical. We loved going all over Scotland, England and Paris with you. I will always love you.
