Cindy Nadine Peters

Cindy Nadine Peters, 69, passed away July 28, 2026 at Parkview Hospital/Hospice following a courageous five year battle with lung cancer. Cindy Was born August 2, 1956 in LaPorte, IN, the daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Keiper.

Cindy grew up around Koontz Lake and graduated from Oregon Davis High School. Cindy loved life, enjoyed traveling and found great joy tending to her many plants and flowers throughout her life.

Cindy never met a stranger and was an avid supporter for many causes and a faithful volunteer for the American Legion at Post 296 in Fort Wayne and Post 49 in Warsaw.

Cindy worked as a Union Sprinkler Fitter and was a proud 35 year member of Local 669 Sprinkler Fitters.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Joe; brothers, Clint ( Janice) Keiper, Jeff (Karen) Keiper, and Shawn (Mari Grace) Keiper; sisters-in-law, Jane Armstrong, Mary Baker, Margie Peters and Debbie Keiper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy also leaves behind her treasured dogs, Bean and Pinto and her cat, Cash.

Cindy was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Keiper; brothers-in-law, James Armstrong and Lynn Baker.

Memorials in Cindy's name can be made to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.
