CLAUDE MANSEL "MAX" UNDERWOOD, 68, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015. He was born in Mt. Lookout, W. Va. on March 18, 1947. He had worked at Harvester and also at Alro Steel as a truck driver. He was a member of American Legion Post 241. Surviving are his daughter, April Williams of Buckeye, Ariz. and her children, Hailey, Alyssa and Colin; daughter, Brandi Underwood and her children, Athenia, Kloee, Liam, and Cohen; brother, Darrell (Cindy) Underwood of Anaheim, Calif.; sister, Margaret (Rodney) Workman of Ansted, W. Va.; and cousin and friend, Larry (Dee) Chaffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Ruth (Chaffin) Underwood; brothers, Delbert and Randy Underwood; and son, Todd Underwood, in 2011. Funeral service is 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809, with visitation two hours prior. Preferred memorials to the American Heart Association or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
