Connie Pruitt, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 10, 2025. She was born on May 10, 1948, in Tazewell, Virginia, daughter of the late James and Della (Hess) Williams. Connie was devoted to her savior Jesus Christ and lived through him every day. She loved to cook, especially cornbread with every meal. Connie also enjoyed traveling, going on vacation, and the simple things such as going to Starbucks and going through the car wash. Most of all, she valued her time spent with her family. Connie is survived by her children, Cindi (Fred) Fortmeyer and Patrick (Amie) Kissell; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pruitt. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46809. She will be laid to rest at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, Virginia. Memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice.
