Raised in Zanesville, Connie graduated from the old Lafayette Central High School. She went on to marry her first husband, Jack Grabner, and together they traveled during his military service before settling in the Waynedale area.
Connie devoted many years of service as an LPN at Lutheran Hospital, working in the psychiatric department with steady professionalism and care. In addition to her hospital work, she shared her gifts by teaching piano lessons and driving a public school bus—roles that reflected a life marked by kindness and caring.
Family was the center of Connie’s world. A beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and, most recently, a great-great-grandmother. She especially cherished gathering her entire family for the holidays. Connie is also fondly remembered by her family for her countless "knick-knacks" and the joy she took in shopping for life's little treasures.
Connie is survived by her children, Kimberly (Scott) Martineau and Scott (Kim) Grabner; her step-children, Scott (Amy) Harman and Jennifer Pate; her grandchildren, Tyler Davis, Kayle Davis, Justin Grabner, Derek Grabner, Brittney Grabner, Tiffany Grabner, Taylor Carries, Cameron Carries, Jessica Harman Ethan Pate, Evelyn Pate, and Adyline Pate; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Kayden, Gabe, Nyla, Quinn, Addy, Noah, Jonah, Josiah, Ezra, Fiona, Carolina, and Elaina; and one great-great-grandson, Kameron.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Gerald E. Harman; her son, Troy Grabner; her stepson, Duane Harman; and her parents.
In accordance with Connie's final wishes, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
