Craig Allen Brigman, 66, passed away on September 28, 2026, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born January 17, 1960, in Fort Wayne, Craig was a lifelong resident and graduated from Southside High School in 1978.
Craig was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle whose life was marked by faith, resilience, humor, and a deep love for people.
Raised by his mother, Leta Gilbert, and stepfather, Ray Gilbert, Craig is survived by his brother, Gary (Jill) Brigman; nieces Paige (Andy) King and Bailey (Josué) Julio; and great-nieces and nephews Elin, Mason, Sol, Paloma, and Daisy.
In his later years, Craig was blessed by his devoted care team — Paul, Alicia, John, Elaine, Mark, Lori, and Miranda — who brought him comfort, dignity, and companionship.
Affectionately known as “Craigy Bootles” and “Crazy Craig,” Craig loved good food, sweets, fellowship, and conversation. He was known for calling anyone who would answer—from friends to pizza shops to radio stations—simply because he loved connecting with people. He took pride in his “Kung Fu grip,” loved a firm handshake, and was always ready for an arm-wrestling challenge. Above all, his humor and ability to make people laugh were unforgettable.
Craig faced tremendous hardship, surviving a life-altering car accident at age 25. Yet he never allowed adversity to make him bitter. Instead, he devoted his life to Christ, choosing forgiveness, faith, and joy.
Craig lived a full life against incredible odds. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his laughter, humor, sweet tooth, phone calls, and most of all, the love and faith that shaped him.
Craig’s life was a reminder that a life does not have to be easy to be meaningful.
