Cynthia Louise Stewart

Cynthia Louise Stewart (Howard) 71, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, peacefully departed her earthly home and entered God's heavenly kingdom on February 21st, 2026. She was born to the union of John Essex Howard Jr. and Dorothy Mae Howard (Wade) on April 4th, 1954.

Cindy graduated from Northrop High School in 1972. She was employed at G.C. Murphy's and was a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Lutheran Homes before receiving her Bachelor's degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1984. She was employed with various nursing homes throughout the Fort Wayne area.

She met Lorenzo "Ren" Stewart and they were married in September 1973. Cindy loved to bake, collect dolls and salt-n-pepper shakers, and shop on QVC.

Cindy was preceded in death by her son, Jenoire John Essex Howard Sr.; her parents, John Jr. and Dorothy Howard; her grandparents, Josh and Flora Wade and John Sr. and Louise Howard; aunt and uncle, Doris and Eddie Harris; sister, Tracy Lynn Howard, and aunt, Pamela Whitt.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Lorenzo "Ren" Stewart; sisters, Zandra (Lonnie Davis), Jacqueline Howard and Tira Davenport; grandson, Jenoire John Essex Howard Jr.; granddaughters, BreAsha Howard and Chloe Graham and aunt Tina Surrey, along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives, and friends.

Special acknowledgement to Tira Davenport, Ebony Howard, Kimora Smith and Thomas Davenport Jr., for their selfless sacrifice and support given to Cindy in her time of need.
