Cyrus J. "CJ" Jenkins, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, surrounded by his family at St. Joseph Hospital. Born June 6, 1925 in Onslow County, NC, he retired from Consumers Powers Company. He was US Marine veteran. Surviving are his son, Kevin (Julie) Jenkins, of Columbia City; daughter, Kathy (Dave) Krueckeberg, of Roanoke; son, Kerry (Kathy) Jenkins, of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Christy Jenkins, of Columbia City; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters, Sadie Padgett, of Jacksonville, NC and Trixie Acey, of Lexington,VA, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Penny Ada Jenkins; son, Kim Jenkins; great grandaughter, Elizabeth Jenkins; brothers, Leon, Wesley, Bryant and Robert Jenkins; sisters, Ethel James, Evelyn Clary and Annie Padgett.
