Dakota Lynn Haus, age 49, of Adams County, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at 7:36 P.M. at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, surrounded by the love of her family.

A Beautiful Life

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, on March 9, 1977, Dakota lived her life with a vibrant spirit and an unwavering commitment to the people she loved. She spent her career in the culinary industry, a field that she truly loved and where she expressed her creativity and passion for bringing people together through food.

Dakota possessed a wonderful green thumb and found immense joy in the quiet beauty of nature. She could grow anything, but her absolute favorite flowers to cultivate were roses. Her happiest moments were spent outdoors—whether she was fishing, camping with her family, or quietly watching butterflies dance through her garden. She also shared a fun-loving spirit, famously enjoying her favorite Disney character, Mickey Mouse, and cheering during WWE matches.

Above all, Dakota was a devoted wife and a fiercely loving mother and grandmother. Her family was the center of her universe, a truth she lived by every day, often repeating her favorite quote: "My Family is My World."

She insisted on family holiday dinners, fiercely protecting those sacred times for everyone to gather, laugh, and share a meal together.
