Daniel “Dan” Fulkerson, 84, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away January 20, 2025. He was born September 20, 1940, son of the late Paul G. and Arlene W. Fulkerson. Dan graduated from North Side High School in 1958 and from Ball State University. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of Vietnam War.
He was the owner of McMahon Paper Company, where he worked for over 50 years.
Dan was an active member of the Fort Wayne Rotary Club and was a board member of Fifth Third Bank in Fort Wayne. He attended Trinity English Lutheran Church. Dan was instrumental in organizing the Fort Wayne Scottish Society, which sponsored the Fort Wayne Highland Games for several years. He loved playing the bagpipes with the Mizpah Shrine Bagpipe Band. Dan and his wife Nancy enjoyed European travels and spending winters at their property in Siesta Key, Florida.
Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy Fulkerson; son, Dan (Beanie) Fulkerson; brother, Dale Fulkerson; and five grandchildren, Alex, Danielle, Lila, Riley and June. He was preceded in death by a son, John W. Fulkerson in 2020.
A private burial service will be held at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707. Arrangements entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley Park, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
