Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Daniel was the beloved son of Todd and Tami Gloy, and stepson of Chris Lane.
Daniel proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he was honored with numerous commendations, including the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and the Marksman Rifle and Marksman Pistol Badges.
Following his military service, Daniel dedicated his professional life to helping others as a Physical Therapist Assistant (P.T.A.), where his care and compassion made a lasting difference in the lives of many.
Daniel is survived by his daughter, Julia Gloy (age 16); his mother, Tami Gloy, and her significant other, Chris Lane; his father, Todd Gloy; his siblings, Ben Gloy (wife, Kin Gloy, and their son, Nico Gloy), Dylan Gloy (daughter, Satine Gloy), Alyssa Lane, and Ava Baker; and his grandmother, Linda Gloy Camacho.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and other loved ones who held a special place in his heart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 28, at 2 p.m., with calling one hour prior, followed by burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Following the burial, friends and family are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Sud’n Impact Gym, 2429 W. Main St., Fort Wayne, Indiana. Lunch and refreshments will be shared in Daniel’s memory.
