Lamping — Daniel F. Lamping, 90 passed away Saturday, September 29 in Ft. Wayne, IN with his family around him. Born January 13, 1928 in Joliet, IL, Dan was a Korean Veteran. He worked many years as a auto mechanic in his own shop and later was engaged in farming. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Marjory, three sons, Daniel (Barb) of Langdon, ND, Rev. Thomas of Chicago, and James (Teresa) of Ft. Wayne, IN, a sister Kathleen Pullman, seven grandchildren, Erin (Lee) Vassen, Steven (Wendy) Lamping, Molly (Adam) Fleck, Andrew (Lauren) Lamping, Christopher (Sarah) Lamping, Maureen and Joey Lamping, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents George and Gladys Veronica Page Lamping, brother and sisters George, Mary, Sr. Mary Helene, OSF, Rita Rose, Dorothy Spotofora and Lois Ann, and grandson, Christopher Lee Lamping.
A funeral mass will be celebrated later this month at St. Raymond Cathedral, Joliet with burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Donations may be made to St. Bartholomew Church, 4949 W Patterson Ave, Chicago, IL 60649.
