I decided to Google Danny's name and found that he passed. Sad to hear. I lived next door to Danny in Houston (La Porte) and we had many of good times playing basketball and woofle ball in our back yards. We played seventh grade basketball together. He was a good friend. Sorry to hear the news.

Dan was a fun cousin as we were growing up. always witty, lightened up my seriousness, challenged me to climb Grandma's apple tree, rout thru Uncle Jims treasures, played endless card games - until he started bridge which was too complicated for me. then he moved to the grown-up card table and his cousins were forgotten! I suspect he is again at the grown-up table with his Mom and aunts. He is surely at peace.

To my brother I called Danny,
I know even though you had your inner conflicts, and sometimes that attitude, you did have a good heart. And for the next few days my world "will" revolve around you. I tried to be a good sister, you knew that I would always be there for you. Don't worry about "Toots" we will take good care of her. Jake, Felisha, and Amiah are really good with her. See you later, good bye for now.
Love, Julie

So sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I remember all the times we played as kids at Grandma's house in Cincinnati, and visiting the Steiningers in Houston Texas. Those were fun times. Susan Oehler

I spent many hours playing chess with Dan over the years. It always made the chess club more fun when he was there. I will never forget him.
